Congrats to Spoco.....great choice. I almost posted a little blood as we are up to our necks in home repairs & I am doing the most of it. Consequently I have had more than my share of cuts & scrapes.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Congratulations to Spoco and to Stiga for choosing a subject that brought out so many good entries. On checking my own files I was surprised to see how many past shots had "a splash of red", and it seems that others found the same.

^^^^ +1 that.
Yes, congrats Spoco. And thanks Stiga for the challenge Theme. I did not have much in archives that really fit for "a splash of red". But a little creative cropping was doable.
I like this theme as it makes me think, ...and see the world differently for both immersing/experience, and for spotting photo-scenes and possibilities.
Cheers.

I didn't have any archived red splashes that I liked well enough. My shot of chairs on balconies was new, taken specifically for the week's theme.

Oh wow! I checked in late. Thanks so much for the nod, Stiga. I wasn't expecting it. I shot through a glass door and using digital zoom on the G1X and so I pretty much convinced myself that his shot wouldn't find it's way to the top of the podium.

The bird is a Rose breasted Grosbeak, for those who are interested. We call him Ambassador because he wears a formal tux with a red sash. I have a series of him arguing with a Cardinal. It's pretty funny but more than a splash of red. I will try to post a shot when I get a chance.

I will do my best to get a topic posted this afternoon.

Thanks for the challenge, Stiga, it was a good one!

Steve
