Hi all,

I liked the way the steps on the right led you up to the bridge, but it was dark down there and the background blew when exposed off the ground. A handheld double exposure helped.

I don't think the background is that good because of the clutter. I left the chain in because it seems to hide "the join" between the steps and the bridge.

The boring bit, I reckon is the low left side, no big stones.

Thanks for any comments.
Ram

I like it - it follows the rule of thirds as I understand it (something in foreground, middleground, and background).

It's not my favorite shot, as there's nothing that I'm immediately drawn to, but certainly not boring.

Rammy,

You should never never ever put the word boring in the thread title. If you, the artist, think it is boring why should anyone waste time looking at it?

It is not by the way.

David

My biggest problem with the picture is that the bridge and the tops of the buildings are competing with each other for that portion of the scene, and that works against the composition.

It has a very nice sky, excellent range of tonalities and other than that one problem, very good composition.

Hi

Thanks for comments. Topsy, that is what I wanted but as you've said, nothing stands out.

David, I understand what you mean, thanks for the guidance.

Bob, I've read loads of your reviews and find them very helpful and informative. I too thought the bridge was getting cluttered. I took some other angles which I have posted here as well.

Thanks again,
Ram
