Lightroom CC and local only?

I played with LR CC the other day and felt it was totally rigged to get people to upload stuff into the "cloud"/adobe servers. Very scammy IMO.
We all have 100s of GB and TBs of storage Why the need for Adobes severs ? It would probably make it hard to cancel a subscription if months of work was all held hostage by Adobe.

That is exactly what it is for. 100% cloud as it's intention is for mobile devices but also backing up it if you want to. I never installed it and I probably never will. As for LR CC Classic which I will start to call LR7. I did not activate the Sync files to Creative Cloud and I doubt I will.

I'm fine with just LR7, PS CC and my free website with the subscription plan.
