Try installing as Admin?

Waited to install some updates to Windows 10 x64 (not the .1709 Fall Creators Update). Re-installed normally, tried running, no change. Ran under Administrator privileges, no change. Un-installed and then re-installed with Administrators privilege; still no difference, exits after about 5 seconds with no splash screen or top-level window.

Logged a support ticket yesterday with DXO, so far have not had any response beyond the automated BOT.

I'll wait until I install and test the Fall Creator's Update and then see if there is any change; I'll bet money there is some Windows .NET conflict that neither DXO nor Microsoft will be able to resolve (Microsoft has a long and sordid history of that with Windows 10).

The Mac version looks promising, did some test RAW conversions to compare to PhotoNinja and Affinity.

I had the same problem with DXO 9. DXO 8 works perfectly. I tried everything that you tried. No dice. I too sent a support ticket to DXO. Their response was that 9 was not supported by Win 10, even though I knew it was working for Aged Briar and others. I guess I got lucky as DXO 11 works fine for me.

Works fine on my Win 10 laptop. Has there been 2 creators updates? I've installed one. Might be machine or component specific, eg a certain model of graphics chipset.

I have the latest Creators update on my PC and DxO 11 is giving me less tyrouble than the Windows update!

I totally agree..... in fact I'm that impressed with this DxO Optics Pro 11 software I just went and purchased the 'Elite' version using the discount voucher and all is working superbly

Still no luck here, crashes out immediately with a .NET Framework exception (put it on the debugger). PC is well beyond all the min system requirements published by DxO, including having .NET Framework 4.7.0 rather than 4.6.2.

This PC has the ENTERPRISE edition of Windows 10 x64 and I have encountered other applications that are not compatible. I have put this suggestion to DxO, and inquired as to whether they have tested Optics Pro with the ENTERPRISE edition, but have not yet received a reply.

We'll see how this evolves, not a front burner project to me since no money has changed hands.

I've been quite impressed with OpticsPro 11 so far, after working with it a bit over the last couple weeks. It might seem a little overwhelming at first but I think you'll start to develop a feel for it readily enough. I don't have LR so I can't compare it to that, but it does seem to produce results as good as I get with DPP4. Maybe even slightly better in some regard. And it certainly runs more quickly and consistently than DPP4 on my Win7 64bit desktop.

Certainly worth a try if you have a little time to get comfortable with it. There's some good tutorials online as well to get you started.

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.
