Hey Everyone,

SO my 24-70mkii lens hit a tree on an editorial assignment, and now the zoom ring is extremely stiff. It also "misses" when trying to zoom.

Not so bad as I'm trying to shoot mainly primes again, so essentially I could leave it on 35 during shoot days lol.

Any how does anyone know its worth fixing, or should I sale at a discounted rate and buy a new one.

Thanks in advance!

It's a $1700 lens. Send it in to Canon. They will tell you how much it'll cost to fix it and whether they can get back to factory spec. Even if it cost $400 to get it fixed, that's still a fraction of the cost of a new one, or even a used one.

I'll gladly take it off your hands for you and I'll even pay the shipping.
