I am thinking my XT1 and 23mm f1.4. Maybe take 14mm f2.8 or the 35mm f1.4 as 2nd lens.

OT - Kind of pissxx that there are no night time parades, neither at CA Adventure nor the Disneyland, specially during the holidays.

Yes it sucks that they got rid of the main street electrical parade. I was hoping it would at least find a permanent home back in Anaheim. Do they still have that parade during the after hours Christmas party?

Eventually.... perhaps around the feb time frame I will be trying out the A7RIII. I'm thinking it's to the point I'll switch now. I need a do all camera and the addition they did for the joystick, dual memory slots and better battery life means it's a good do all camera. I'll pick one up and try it out adapted and maybe a 35mm on it and see how it fairs.

Did they stop that? 2012 and 2015 both had the electric lights parade.

They moved it to Disneyland earlier this year for a bit, before they stopped doing it there too.

Which Disney are you going to? Florida just got another hot pocket of weather with some scattered rain.

My daughter is 4, so I know the dreaded Disney trip is looming soon with all my girls. I've staved them off this long because younger than this they don't even know what's going on. I'll be in this same delimma soon. I'll probably just take a Fuji X100S and nothing else unless I have a full Fuji system by then (which is possible... sheeesh, I'm considering swapping out my full frame to Fuji and keeping Canon for my long glass/macro). If I'm on a full Fuji system by then, it would be a XT1 and either 21mm F1.4, or a 10-24 zoom. But even then I may just roll the X100S and have its 23mm F2 pancake and call it a day. Cellphones for everything else.

Very best,

Last time i went to Disney i took the 5d3 with 24-70 2.8 mk.ii ef50 1.4 ef 85 1.8 too. 14 2.8 and my t4i..

Never again ! Not for a family place / trip like Disney ..
These days , the xt2 and 23 f2 is all I bring to family oriented trips.. a small speedlight and the 50 f2 sometimes com4 along and 9 out of 10 times never get used

35mm (or crop equivalent) has become my favorite for all purpose .I find with family its all I need

I had camera of this brand and type almost at the checkout and money ready. Numerous times. But every time I didn't proceed.
No good lens to match, IMO. AF lens.

No parades except Christmas Holiday parade at Disneyland during the day time. All of us loved that electric light parade or whatever it was called at Disneyland and I was all set to rent Sony RX100 for it. Even the pixar parade in CA Adventure is not there anymore. Not sure what is happening at Disney World in Florida.

I wonder why they never kept those around. My kids watch it on instagram, and I always wanted to take them in person.

Oh ok... I'm going to Disney World in Florida. Everytime we have been it's been over thanksgiving week... a rather busy time. They have always had the light parade. I'm hoping they still do there this time. My daughter loves that parade.

Well been playing with the wifes camera tonight. Honestly I haven't used the fuji stuff too much and especially flash. I did this with my canon flashpoint zoom li-ion R2 in manual mode.

editing fuji files is really strange... this is basically sooc other than highlights. I don't like it. I need to figure this out a bit better.

this is just my opinion...

Fuji raw files are not for the pixel peeper.

add the picture profile of your choice (I like classic chrome or astia .. or actualuy any of them are quite good) and adjust from there in LR . or take it to PS

that's not to say you have to use a PP to make it look good.

Fuji colors are second to none.. again ,in my opinion.. USE their film simulation profiles as a base , and go from there...

Ok well explain this:

XT20... 35 1.4 and a godox TT350F flash... direct flash... AV mode at F2... auto ISO and auto shutter.

super bright... I need -3 TTL and it's still too bright. I'm not really happy when you do direct flash with canon it does not behave in this manner.

what gives. I've checked all settings... it's just bright as crap.
