Just unpacked mine and my first impression is this thing is very sharp at f/1.4. Now, I am at work and don't have anything exciting to photograph, but here are a few quick samples with 100% crops, all shot at f/1.4 on a 5D Mk III.

I was taking pictures of people at church and this homeless dude wandered in.

He was watching over my shoulder and he asked if I could also take his picture, so I happily did.

After reading a year review with the Sigma I've made my mind up to go with the Canon. Also after a two hour photoshoot with my 70-200 the other night I could use something lighter.
