Yesterday I downloaded my pre-order of Luminar 2018. I found it fantastic on the Mac and as a standalone on my PC. Today I downloaded my pre-order of ACDSee for Mac. ACDSee is a GREAT Digital Asset Manager and with a simple right click I can open any photo in Luminar 2018. This is working fantastic! It is a great improvement over Lightroom Library and Develop module. Bye Bye Adobe!

On the PC it does not work so great. For some reason Luminar 2018 for PC just does not work well as a plugin. Opening from the ACDSee trial version I downloaded or from Lightroom it is extremely slow. Many complaints seem to coming out about Luminar being slow, but I find it is only on a PC as a plugin. It works fine as a standalone - the problem is I don't know which photo to open as Win10 can't render my Fuji RAF files.

For me the ACDSee/Luminar combination on my Mac is my solution until the new Luminar DAM comes out predicted for early 2018. At that time I will evaluate which DAM I prefer to use.
