Pair of Snows.

The migration of Lesser Snows is in full force. They are almost a month late in coming down to The Point. Now that most of the corn is off, they have a better choice of diet but also a better selection of fields to forage. They spend the day hopping from one field to another making it a guessing game trying to set up for them.
Sunday morning was our first real snow storm and combined with wicked winds, it was not really fun laying out in a field so I used the truck as a blind
Dark clouds, low light but every once in a while the sun tried to poke out.

Thanks everyone. There are a still a pile of Snows up here. Flocks keep building every day. Unseasonably mild temps have kept the fields and lakes open and they are taking advantage of it. The flock is estimated at 350,000+ birds and growing. Still has a way to go to beat the incredible numbers that were here 2 years ago but is sure a lot of fun to watch.
The corn was late in coming off this year and we are just starting to turn the fields over. Lots of food still on the ground.
