The very first photoshoot for this lovely young lady and I screwed up.

The night before the shoot I'd been playing with cam ranger and wanted to set my camera to make both raw and jpg images. jpgs really speed up transfer time significantly over raw files. Also, I put sharpening of the jpgs at maximum just to see if it would be easier to tell what was in sharp focus and what was not.

Unfortunately, somehow my camera got set only to make jpgs. Things got hectic right before the shoot and I didn't double check, so the entire shoot was done only in jpg, and way over sharpened jpg at that.

Her skin was a mess because of the oversharpenign and shadow detail was almost nonexistent. Salvaged things as best i could by softening skin in post. Luckily this was just a fun shoot. Could kick myself.

Here are a couple from the shoot.

One of the last shots of the day. She was very nervous at the beginning of the shoot but was beginning to relax here.
