Looks awesome, but almost $13,000 is insane. That's a car! I'd love to shoot it, yes, but that's a huge amount of money for a single lens.

I did pick up a gently used 90 f/2 summicron APO with a one year warranty like new in the box that is insanely good in late Dec. That lens is almost to big for a rangefinder. I can only imagine how big this 75 is. The good thing if you were to invest in a lens like this is it will hold most of it's value and if you hold on long enough it might increase in value. Not like most other lenses. The only Canon lens that held it's value when I sold all my Canon gear over two years ago was my 200 2L. My 85L, 24L and 35L all lost a lot of value though none of that is important to me because I use what I buy. But there are some out there that take resale value into consideration.

Invest, value?
Sure, get it, never open it and after twenty years sell it with higher price just because of inflation rate :)
But... world and photography could change in next twenty years to the point then you'll be asked - "lens?", "What for is this?"
Just like regular young person asks now about darkroom. "I have long fast lens" will sounds as creepy as "I have German enlarger in the darkroom" sounds now.

And what is the point of using this long and this fast lens as manual focus lens if you are not going to have enough DOF to compensate yours and model's breath?
Voigtlander 75 1.8 will do the same for normal price as the lens, not investment. :-D
