So i just purchased a Sony A9 and im still in the process of selling off my Canon gear. I still have my Canon 70-200 2.8 II and was wondering if i should;

1. Selling the Canon 70-200 and buy the Sony 70-200 f/4
or
2. Keep the Canon and adapt it to the A9

I shoot a mix of weddings and sports.

It might be worth trying it out and see if the auto-focus works well enough for you. I don't have an A9, but I've heard it's much better auto-focusing adapted lenses than previous Sony cameras. I have an A6500 and it's good (with the Metabones adapter), but definitely not as good as native auto-focus. Maybe it's good enough for you and maybe it's not.

Is there a reason you're considering the Sony 70-200 f/4 instead of the the 70-200 f/2.8? You might miss that stop of light for sports/weddings.
