I've been using a Canon 450D for 7 years and just inherited an SX20is. I read a lot of positive reviews on the SX20, and it has an impressive list of features, so I was really looking forward to working with it. Unfortunately, the anticipation was a lot greater than the actual experience.
I think it's really weird that Canon put out a camera with all those features but left out RAW capture (I know about CHDK and have tried it already.) but the thing that frustrates me the most is how LONG the wait is between shots. Man!
I've tried everything I could think of to reduce the load on the processor; I've even disabled the review after taking the shot. But nothing really helps. Does anyone have any tricks for cutting down on that wait time? (Okay, I think it's ready now; I'm gonna go take another picture.
)
