Downtown Dallas - JFK Museum

While not exactly of the museum these shots were taken downstairs near there. I haven't taken out my 6D much since I purchased it, but I loved how it handled these shots in low light. All of these shots are handheld with high ISO...Some noise reduction and sharpening done in Lightroom and I played with the sliders to get the look I wanted. I didn't really like how most of these looked in color, so I decided to go with B&W. As always, C&C very much appreciated.

I don't know what happened to this sub, but it used to be very active several years ago. Almost every thread created had a reply and while not instant normally within a few hours. Not complaining, but I wonder if fewer people are using their cameras.

I think maybe the lack of comments may be because the photos seem hard to comment on (at least to my eyes). The issue is that none of them really do much for me. I think mainly this is due to a lack of a definitive and compelling subject. I'm not sure if what you're trying to show is the cars, the buildings, the skyline or what....the only one that seems to have a definitive subject is the bus...but it's just a bus, so it's not all that interesting. Number 6 has a nice building in it that my eyes are drawn to but it seems like it's only supposed to be a part of the background considering you cut the top off plus it's not really framed well if it was intended as the main subject. This leaves me looking to the foreground with nothing more than a few cars driving through an intersection....which makes me wonder what it is you were trying to capture. In the future, maybe try to focus more on making the subject stand out, giving the photo a "purpose".

I think your lack of response here is simply that these pictures don't appear to have any connection to really anything. Especially not John Kennedy. That is, unless one was to recognize some of the locations, and I only recognize a couple, picture 3 and 4. Which I think is the plaza area where he was shot. Picture 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 I don't see any connection at all to Kennedy because I don't know what they are.

And that may be why you have no responses. People look at these, kind of wonder, then move on. At least that's what has happened for me.

Fair enough. Thanks for the comments! I guess I am still amazed of the quality of these night shots from my 6D that I didn't notice that there wasn't really a subject in any of these. I appreciate the honest feedback!
