A little hot for my taste. Otherwise, good.

the hot spots on the skin are an issue for me, would like better smoothness on her skin to even out the tones.

A little Freq Separation and adjustment in exp, highlights and shadows.
If you mind let me know and I'll remove it.

Many thanks. Feel free to edit. I have already done some FS on the image, but I would appreciate anything you can do to improve my technique.

I can provide the raw file if you wanted to use that?

First a public thank you. That was excellent, and very kind of you.

I use the same method for FS, but I paid way less attention to where I blurred the LF layer

The eye work is great, I tend to only use a little sharpening to make them pop. In this case I think I hadn't touched them.

I will look at trying this again, but for now many thanks, it really is appreciated.

Bas.

No problem with you editing. I like the edit, although at first glance it looked a little too smooth. Again I can provide the RAW file if you enjoy editing and want to have that to give you more control.

Thank you for the kind comment on my work, I have a long way to go to get to average, but I am enjoying learning :)

Looking at the histogram for the Raw file it is not actually blown, (I tend to think of blown as over-exposed), but it there is something not quite right with it. Other shots from the same section of the shoot look better, exposure wise.

Thank you again.
