Critque Wanted - Hotel Room

It really bothers me that in this photo that the white bedding changes from a cool white to a warm white as you move further from the window. I think this was caused by both the color temperature of the lights and the yellows in the walls of the room. What would you have done to better balance the colors?

Additionally, while post-processing this photo, I noticed that only the chandelier is on. I think if I were to redo this photo I would turn on the rest of the lights. I'm looking for other suggestions on how to do better next time.

If this were for an ad I'd want much more attention to the details of the room staging. The bedding is not perfect. The carpet looks strange. The pillow on the chair is just sitting there. Small items are not arranged as if they are subjects for a still life. As is, the shot seems to me much better than the room deserves.

Looks like the silver backing on the mirror is deteriorated.

Thanks. It is probably one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. But you're right. Next time I will pay more attention to make sure the bedding is nice and smooth and move the bar tray.

This shot was taken a couple minutes after getting to the room and without changing anything.

It's a distressed look. Think jeans produced with holes in them. It does look nice in the room, but I'm guessing it will look dated in a few years.

The color is irrelevant in this photo. The spotted mirror makes it. It shows the other world. Where Constantine is.

For an immediate 'glimpse' of a smart hotel room - this shot looks really impressive and representative ---> the colours, lighting & composition.
With hind-sight inevitably you'll invite 'nit-picking'.

1.> the bedding whites might benefit from a silver or white reflector positioned out of shot to the right to 'win-back' evenness.
2.> switch-on the wall-lights & the table-light ---> this will give the image a more 'consistent-feel'
3.> As per George's recommendations for detailing (either show the entire chair with the cushion - or remove both from the shot entirely)
4.> I would 'bury' all the clutter off the 2 x bedside tables
5.> ideally, the complimentary drinks tray should also be removed
a.) the ice-bucket looks distorted
b.) the reflection (in the mirror) makes the image look 'messy'

Why such a wide lens? Yes, a view of more of the room is gained, but at the expense of noticeable distortion of angles.
