Up for sale is my 85L v2. I purchased this lens new from B&H back in 2008. The lens has been well cared for, but it's been used professionally and does show signs of it's age. I use the 85mm focal length A LOT, so this lens has been an important part of my lineup and has been a reliable companion over the years - the only reason I'm selling it is because I have 2 of these and I want a 1.4IS version.
The lens has some scuff marks on the front element, but they are not deep scratches and honestly I've never noticed any ill effects in the thousands of photos I've taken with this lens (an example of the scuffs can be seen in photos below, but are less noticeable in person). Earlier this month I sent the lens to CPS for a cleaning and checkup, and I asked what it would cost to replace the front element should someone be inclined to do so. Their estimate for me (I'm a Platinum member, so I get a 30% discount) was $340. This replacement would not be worth it for me, because in using this lens I've never seen any issues in the photos I've taken with it. There are also some marks on the body of the lens (pictured below, though again are more prominent in the photos than in person). Canon did perform their 11 point service to the lens and gave it a clean bill of health. Sale of the lens includes 2 hoods (the tab on the original one is broken so I replaced it with a Velo hood that works great, but I'll include both), original box, lens pouch and the manual.
