Anyone here an Illustrator whiz? I need a little help...

I'm trying to create a logo for my husband but have never used Illustrator before. The logo is a really simple concept - a purchased vector image and some text. My questions are:

1) do I create a cmyk or rgb file (he's a realtor and will be mainly using the logo for print purposes and will only probably only need the logo for a website)?

2) if I create a cmyk file, can I somehow copy the exact same logo as a rgb file easily without having to start all over?

3) what things need to be checked or changed during the saving process? he will want a vector, pdf, and png at least.

You first want to combine your purchased vector file and the added text as an Illustrator .AI file. Once you have one or more versions of the way you want them, you can export in various vector and raster formats.

In general, you never have to start over once you have an Illustrator file the way you want it. You can export to suit the purpose.

Thank you!! I was confused because the "Save as" option didn't list png, jpeg, psd, etc. Finally found it in the "export". Good to go now!
