A strange way to serve coffee. Is this just a display of cups? Is there liquid in them?

These are the "Nespresso" pods. The coffee is inside them. You pop one of them into the machine, press a button, and voila! You have 2 ml of the bitter stuff :-)

CC always welcome.

To good effect. Did you start with a few and multiply them into a flock?

No, I recently bought a whole box of them and just laid them out and shot them as is. Of course the result was boring as hell but Photoshop came to the rescue: I duplicated the background layer twice and moved each duplicated layer slightly, reduced opacity, changed blending modes, had a B&W conversion on one and what not.

The theme is interesting but I'm having difficulties getting something nice. I've tried other things (one with q-tips  ) and they turned out rubbish. The rubber bands was the only thing I felt okay to post.

I am working on something else though but it's new territory for me and I don't know if I can pull it off. We'll see.

Thanks, Jo!

Same here, I bought these only a few months ago and quite a few have already dried out and crumbled. Useless indeed!

Those are pretty mushrooms!

I did a landscape. Vegetable, fruit, sky and grass were all shot today and I put them together in Photoshop, shrinking, cropping, you name it. It's very silly and I'm not even sure it fits the theme...

LOL. Why that's an old person walking with a cane. Obviously... 8-)
I tried putting a head and a little face on it, but it was too small and then you have the problem of needing a neck and shoulders and that was problematic with the cane, so in the end I decided to leave it as is.

Levina, that's hilarious!

If your banana peel slips and falls, whom can it blame?
