A local landmark diner/cafe. Opened in 1942 and apparently not much has changed.

Ovaltine Cafe, 1942? Any connection to WWII rationing of coffee?

I don't know if that is where they got the name. It is possible given it's age. It's great neon
is what brings me to shoot it. As can be seen from the links that Joayne has shared the
food is apparently pretty good and very well priced. The area where it is located has
fallen on very hard times and is home to a lot of Vancouver's homeless population.

Very interesting article about the new owners...
Kudos to them and what they do.

2.09 dwt gold nugget with a dime for comparison. I found the nugget with a metal detector years ago. I was trying some old film camera equipment with my T3i to see how it might work for some "sort of macro" images. dwt is the abbreviation for pennyweight, nugget is about 1/10 troy ounce.

T3i > adapter ring > Tamron-F Tele-converter 2x > Olympus Zuiko 35-70 lens > Aetna Close-up ring No.1 and No.2
