I am going to be upgrading to the 80D from my 40D. Will I have any issues with my older lenses on the 80D? I use mainly the 24-105 F/4 L and sigma 70-200 f/2.8.

I had older versions that worked fine with several other Canon bodies. With the 80D, changing settings on-camera generated an error every time. The settings did get changed, and everything worked as expected, but I got an error message EVERY TIME. My solution, I just went back to Canon's proprietary optical flash control system.

Jan 10, 2018 06:12 | #5 I had trouble with the Tamron 60mm Macro and Tamron 90mm Macro lenses on my 80D - both would hunt constantly but never lock focus even after being sent back to Tamron for a firmware upgrade. PhotographicMemoriesCT.com
