Were the trees felled by the ice storm? Still cold there. My wife is there this week and the temps are between 26 and 40 F. The last time we were both at HH the temps were warmer, but late autumn jackets were the norm in January. Looks like you found the off the beaten path Banyard House ruins (in the gallery).

I don't think this particular pine was an ice victim since the break looks aged.

When we drove in on the 5th the new car lots were still covered in several inches of snow and the ice was everywhere. What looks like snow on the ground in most of the pics is frozen solid. We didn't see the worst of it.

Yep, Stoney-Baynard Ruins. It's looking pretty old now :)

The white house is the Rose Hill Plantation. The deer ran across their yard just as I was about to leave and I didn't have the right lens in hand.
