From what I can suss, it looks like the X1T/X1R units all get ID code capability.

The X1T descriptions all mention a new custom function for setting RF ID.
The X1R descriptions give the procedure for setting RF ID:

The customer can set RF ID. Operation: press the CH and GR button simultaneously and power it on to enter the RF ID setting interface. Short or long press the CH button to add the ID value while short or long press the GR button to decrease. Power off the flash trigger after 5s, and ID value can be set and saved. Then, power it on, and the ID value will affect RF reception.

The XPro-N description is: "1. To add modeling flash function." Whether that means modeling light control, or some kind of modeling light function for speedlights, I have no idea.

And the X1T-S apparently has a bunch of bug fixes, as well as adding ID codes. Looks like they may have come up with a workaround for the TTL at wide apertures issue.

1. To make a compensation to the TTL output value at large aperture setting.
2. To add Fn-10 in custom function settings. When setting as 01, the AF-assist function can be used on Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera (some cameras e.g. A9, A7, etc.).
3. To solve the problem that the ISO will change to 819200 from 100 when A7RM2 camera is using the high-speed continuous shooting in M mode.
4. To add Fn-11 in custom function settings, so that the customer can set RFID.

It seems that the XT-32 is left out.

what exactly does the ID setting do? Does it just let you assign a number to your unit? What's the purpose? To verify if it is yours or not?

To give you a unique ID so you don't trigger someone else's light. (still unlike PW someone can still chose the same ID, it's just that it gives more to choose from than the channel/frequency)

Ah that makes more sense. I use the xt32 and tt600, so it wasn't making much sense since those units weren't updated.

It looks to me that Godox made non-TTL obsolete or is there any equipment besides mentioned underneath by Godox that is getting the ID option and which is non-TTL?
