The first is a Plume moth which landed on the side of my truck. They don’t look much like a moth while perched, but when flying they splay their wings which are all stacked up here.

Unlike my guidebooks that go for a straight on dorsal view, I think sometimes the other side is more interesting, and I’ve really got a “thing” for trying to get their faces.
This first shot is a Pawpaw Sphinx moth.
