I majored in music.

Surely it wasn't in music classes that you picked up knowledge of ASCII symbols. I mean, where do people normally learn these technical things?

I learned in Computer Science 101 in my 2nd go around in Community College as a very adult, adult. :p
But I changed after 2 semesters and moved to Desktop Publishing, which included photography, PhotoShop and Illustrator and QuarkExpress.
I was much happier :-P

He's my contribution to contradictions..
I decided to keep the reflections to add to the Contradiction ..
And I couldn't spend the day doing PS.. I have chores!!

Fixed the color on this one. I'd changed the ceiling color from white to beige a couple months ago and then bounced a flash without changing any settings.

Paul
deep greens and blues are the colors I choose ...

The Spoon fork image is Magritte genius.

That's awfully nice of you to say, Benitoite. Thank you very much. Of course Magritte was a real genius, I just thought of the spoon&fork whilst doing the dishes... :p

That's a nice one too, OhLook. Would have been a good one for the locks & keys theme too.

Surely it wasn't in music classes that you picked up knowledge of ASCII symbols. I mean, where do people normally learn these technical things?

I actually took a few CS classes including ANSI C and abstract data structures, both of which helped me in my later coursework in electrouacoustic music. ASCII was a development within the telegraphy community of radio amateurs, military network operators, and industrial technicians. Originally most people learned about ascii because they worked on teletype machines. Ascii has definitely blossomed since those days.

Levina and joeseph, thanks for your comments.

No atlases were harmed in the making of this photograph.
