"Wishy"

A wishbone spider arrived at my front door yesterday so I took a few snaps before putting him to bed in a plastic container.
The following day I took a few more snaps this time on a white background before releasing him back to the wild.
This guy was about 40mm front to back not including the legs.
The biggest problem I had was that the MP-E65 I had on the camera could not fit him into frame so I had to swap to the Sigma 105mm.
The first photo has been rotated 90 degrees ccw, the second photo is an 18 shot stack done in PS.

My mom said we can't hang out anymore as your friends are a bit scary. Great capture.... and release.

I'm not a fan of spiders, but your photos are excellent. I think I'm grateful that I don't live in WA, though.

No need to panic guys this one is not venomous. The only time I have seen these is at night and they may come up to the house looking for shelter from the rain.
The wife was "Not in my house" when she first saw him but by the time he was ready to leave she had named him "Wishy"
