I volunteer with a couple of local counties to shoot some kids who are in group homes, looking to be adopted. This young lady had quite a horror story about how she got here, but was one of the nicest kids I've ever worked with. She wanted some shots in a dress as well as her usual style, which is more of the "jeans and sweater" look. Anyway- here are a few of the more interesting shots from her session.

C&C always welcome!

A wonderfull project. Good to show these kids in a way they can be proud of themselves.
Why are the eyes closed on the first picture?

That's a great thing that you are doing. Nice to make a way that a person who has faced some very hard times can have their own proper senior photo. Good luck to her.

David.
Comment and (constructive) criticism always welcome.

No deep meaning to it... Just the moment I caught her. As I usually do with the kids when then come in, I let her pick the music that was playing. For that shot, she was just "blissing out" to her music, and I was snapping away.
