Spacing between sections in Index view

Is there any way I can reduce the spacing between sections when I am on the main "Index" page in "Short view" mode?

These are about four lines of blank space between sections right now and if this could be reduced I'd be able to see the whole index without scrolling (I have many forums set to "hidden").

You can move all your hidden sections to the bottom and never look at them again.

Thanks, but I haven't got whole sections hidden, just some forums within some sections, so I don't think that would solve it. Anyway, no big deal, it was just a thought I had on a slow day.
