A few weeks ago Southern Ontario and most of Canada was hit with a cold wave (between -20 to -30 degrees Celcius), which did something very incredible for photography. Many of the waterfalls in the country froze over, and this became every photographer's wet dream.
Hamilton is known as the waterfall capital of the world, with about 100 different waterfalls.
Living in Toronto, close enough to Hamilton I decided to grab a couple friends, and we embarked on an adventure to explore some frozen waterfalls in Hamilton, and in the surrounding area.
I'll be the first one to say, what we saw was pretty amazing!
Webster Falls in Hamilton
La Grande Hermine in Jordan Habour
Horseshoe Falls in Niagara Falls
I have more pictures and I wrote more about my epic adventure finding frozen waterfalls in Hamilton and Niagara
Cheers,
Tudor
