Can't post videos?

I recently tried a Test post of an mp3 video, and it failed with the "wrong format" message -- any update there?

Direct video upload is not possible (and not planned as a supported feature). You can embed videos from
YOUTUBE, VIMEO, IPERNITY (requires Flash to view), METACAFE and DAILYMOTION.

example tag:
[VIDEO={sitename_as_ab​ove}]{video_id_here}[/​VIDEO]

So [VIDEO=metacafe]116344​80[/VIDEO]

I was curious because I was able to upload an mp3 video to Facebook, and it showed and played, so just wanted to know...
