Thanks for the info. Also looked at your Instagram page. Very cool pictures. A majority of the lenses listed are just out of my reach for the moment. But helps with what people are using.

Have to admit, it was nerve wrecking when I started shooting when band was playing. But did get less nervous as I was more concentrated on the bands movement, surroundings and lighting. Hopefully they will let me do more shows to get some more practice in.

I have found that a 35L and 85L is a nice combination on a full frame body. Think in terms of speed, the L’s will give the brightest viewfinder for focusing and enable you to use faster shutter speeds. It’s difficult when the lighting is constantly changing but CaptureOne has saved me on a number of occasions. Your shooting location will dictate your lens selection, I’m into primes and got rid of the 70-200/2.8 and have no regrets.
