I normally use my CPS strap outfitted with the OP/Tech sling strap adapter for all my camera gear as until now the heaviest combo I had was a 1Dx/ Sigma 150-600 and would just trust the camera mount to hold the lens. I now own a 300 2.8 IS and want one strap on the camera support and the other on the lens. Not sure what you all do in that situation.
As I like the Op/Tech system I had figured one of two methods.
1) Attach QR plate to base of lens and attach a strap to the little slot they give you to attach a camera strap to the plate. https://www.amazon.com …fRID=K64B7F16S1XY3J0CTJNN![]()
2) attach a 1/4 mounting ring to the bottom of the lens and then attach the strap to that. https://www.amazon.com …fRID=K64B7F16S1XY3J0CTJNN![]()
3) Is there another way to attach that would work with my sling strap?
I would often just mount the lens on a monopod but I'll be indoors and won't be able to use a monopod.
Thanks in advance.
