My G9 arrived this afternoon.

Started playing around but had to stop to fully charge the battery.

I’ll get back at it tomorrow.

WOW!!! Can’t wait to give it a try.

You can power it by USB cable while battery is in charger ;-)a

My first shots...

Nothing special but so far I like it.

Get ready for the barrage of questions! :-)

Why isn't the forum software picking up the camera and lens to display?

Fire away.

One thing to note, just looking at your shared shots there -you really don't need to stop down that far. I personally very rarely go over f/6.3-7. Remember that you've got 2 stops more depth of field over full frame at the same aperture, and most m4/3 lenses are sharp wide open.
Just something to consider

Thanks. Lots to learn about MFT... I ready for it though.

So far I love this camera.

Out Fuji trees that blooms once a year.

With any sort of wind or rain we only have the blossoms for about a week... Ugh

Sorry, no- I manually select it. Seems the forum will recognize some lenses (14-140mm is one it does) but usually I have to manually pick the info.

What are you using for raw conversion (if you are indeed shooting raw) and what are you saving images as? Any additional steps in your workflow?

Edit -I see a lot of my images have disappeared, and only a little bit of the EXIF data is displayed. Flickr is responsible for the disappearing images, the forum software for the missing EXIF data. It all shows up on another forum I'm a member of

I tried to select manually but there was no G9 listed. Must be doing it wrong.

Lightroom CC Classic. Saving as JPEG. Never have had a problem with the 80D. I know Pano isn’t getting as much attention on POTN but clearly I’m doing something incorrectly.

Camera select, manufacturer-Panasonic, type-DSLR (don’t ask me why...), should then be listed.

When you select it you are given the opportunity to list as “owned”, do that then you can pick it faster in the future.

Unless shooting in low light, wide dynamic range, or pushing high ISO, I am finding SOOC jpgs to be pretty darn good.
