100-300mm compact size was one of the drivers of my return to MFT. I would liked to have gone for the 100-400mm, but not at 3x the price.

Once we get some decent weather on my day off, looking forward to seeing what the G9 and 100-300mm can do.

Can't comment on G9 other than looked at it when buying my latest EM5 2.
There's some excellent Pro Olympus lenses that fit on the Panasonic.
Probably know that but just comment.
I've the 12-40 and 40-150 with extender.
Love them both.
Had thought of Panasonic lenses but only thought.
Still open to Panasonic, but at moment Olympus is it.
The smaller size is what attracts me to these 4 thirds.

My last foray into MFT was the original E-M1, 12-40mm Pro, E-P8, some budget zooms and a Pany 20mm prime.

Had hoped for it to replace DSLR gear but it couldn’t keep up with aircraft, sports and BIF. Liked size weight savings, but at the time I couldn’t afford multiple systems so I went back to DSLR.

Luckily I am in a place now where I can have both, plus it seems IQ and AF in MFT has come a long way towards improving. Looking forward to it working out this time.

Seems that my first shot with a new camera is almost always a dog or a cat, pattern holds with the G9

Nice, but the off kilter horizon and verticals are triggering my OCD...

Lol ... I was more interested in the murals, and the pano I wondered about. Had a couple of wines with my visitors when processed and uploaded, which doesn't help :-)

Is this better?

Much. Admittedly, having done real estate work for the past four years now it is one of the first things I notice.
