Just a punt, but do they have a reset lens option?
That sets the lens setting back to default each turn off of camera
I'm Olympus but sounds like it could be a similar issue.

Yes, there is something along those lines, a camera reset, so I will look into that. Thank you so much.

urban Kingfisher, NZ, large crop on the 14-140, my big lens (100-300) was outside in the car. Took a bit of work but happy with final outcome. Large crop.

Yeah nah. It wasn't that after all. Have got around this by using another focus mode which worked fine on the kingfisher . Thanks for your help

Yeah, my camera does the same, & it's probably the only thing that I can think of that annoys me about the camera. For me, there is a workaround, & that would be to buy more batteries, as I only run into the issue when I'm at the race track, & the camera goes to sleep when waiting for the motorcycles to appear from one lap to the next lap. If I wasn't a tight@rse, I'd buy a heap of batteries, & set the camera not to turn off/sleep for the duration of the race. but that doesn't help you.
To help, I've set the AF box/pattern resize directly to the rotary dial surrounding the 4 way pad. That way, there's no need to actually select the AF box/pattern, simply spin the dial & it resizes instantly. Pretty quick & intuitive. I use either the single box, or the central diamond pattern, as that works for 99% of all my subject matter

Anyone played with the time lapse function much? I'm going to Castlepoint to stay a couple of nights and the lighthouse itself is lit in different colurs every few minutes or so. Just wondering if anyone has any tips. I need to research the time colour sequence thing first I guess.
