Love how you used the 1DIV. Shot is perfect.

Super shot. The only Water Rails we have seen have either been too far away or lurking in deep shade. There was one in bright sunshine in open water, but it moved so fast between reedbeds that a shot was impossible; I swear it was going at 40mph or more - blink and you missed it!:-)

Great Shot and find Alan, brave man to shoot at ISO 3200. I have the same set up as you and never exceed ISO 1600. Your photo is almost noise free....Very well done! You should post some of your photo's in "Post your best bird portrait". A very friendly group that would be more than happy to see your pictures.

I never exceed ISO 800, but then I have a crop camera (7DII) and am a self-confessed uber pixel peeper! I would be very interested to hear what app Alan uses for noise reduction, if any, please.
