In the past I tested many lenses like :
Canon 17-40 f4L
Canon 16-35 f2.8 I & 2 & f4L IS
Tokina 16-35 f2.8, 17 f3.5 AT-X Pro
The old Sigma 14 2.8
The Laowa 12 2.8 & Tamron 15-30 f2.8 are superb, but too expensive.
The Samyang 14 f2.8 cheap is manual and the AF version is probably more expensive than €325 seconhand (probably not available yet)
But probably those aren't compatible anyway with an MC-11 or Metabones V adaptor on a Sony
As i'm switching to Sony and I can buy a 17-40 f4L for €325 secondhand.
It's a long time since I had this lens, most are satisfied I think, my friend reminds me that corners were only sharp on f8, but it's on tripod in dark abandoned buildings anyway.
I see it's compatible with Sony but slow AF : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpGO6If7opA![]()
For my case the Canon 17-40 f4L is probably the only option on Sony or does Sony also has a wide-angle (cheaper non G-Master) lens ?
