Why does Paypal hold your money for 3 weeks? I get access immediately, always have. Now Ebay will hold funds if you're not actively selling with them, but that doesn't have anything to do with Paypal. That's Ebay's policy.

You may want to mention which Canon 400mm lens you are selling. They've made about 10 different ones. If it just happens to be the 400mm 2.8L II IS USM, I'll take it for $700.

PayPal does not hold my money for 21 days, and they don't hold your money for 21 days, either. . I think you have been misinformed, or else you were properly informed and misunderstood what was said to you.


Yeah, it would be nice to know for sure what 400mm lens you are advertising. . Is it the 400mm f5.6? If so, what ids the date code?

The date code is either printed or roll stamped into the black surface at the camera end of the 400 f/5.6L.

Your lens appears to have been manufactured in 2014. Almost brand new! Good luck with your sale.

I must have a special PayPal account. They don't 'lock' my money at all. I can spend it as soon as it appears in the account. My account is backed up by a checking account and a credit card. Maybe that matters.

That's how it works with my PayPal, too.

The people who seem to have problems are those who think that it isn't really "their" money until it comes out of the PayPal account and goes into their bank account.

Money in a PayPal account is just as much "mine" as money in my bank account is. . No need to move it out of PayPal and into anything else. . No need at all.

And if you add a debit card to your profile, you can send money to the card w/in 30min at a cost of $0.25. Otherwise, sending money to your checking account can take a day or two to process.
