This is an off the wall use for this camera, but while I'm not using it for stills it sits on my desk and is my current live streaming main camera. I have it plugged up to AC power and connected through mini HDMI - HDMI to the computer. I have turned Auto Power Off set to "Disable" but after about 50-55mins my 1DX2 stops pushing video and a message on the LCD comes up to click Start/Stop to resume video. The only thing I can guess is it's getting to hot maybe? But it's not actively recording anything to the cards, just pushing signal to the computer. The cards do heat up though, Is there a way to keep it on the entire time without having it go to sleep or stop like this? If it is heat, any cooling suggestions? If it's not heat, what else should i be doing other than changing the Auto Power Off?
Like I said, really unusual usage for this camera but I'm kind of working with what I got kind of thing. Not looking for anything insane like 8-10hrs straight of streaming video from the 1DX2, not yet anyway, just maybe 2-4hrs max. I guess if there is no solution I need to build cooldown time in the stream where I would use another camera and angle while the 1DX2 cools.
Any insight?
