Out on test, I snapped a picture while grinding up a 6% grade in the dry part of Oregon.

Interesting perspective ):. Oregon is much drier anywhere East of the Cascades.

Hey, yeah. This was shot on 97 heading north from Madras, the big hill before the Cow Canyon rest area. We were doing some testing (I'm an engineer that makes HD diesel engines for trucks). The weekend after I shot this I was in Bend, OR, which is a really neat place. I wound up thinking the part of OR just east of the Cascades is quite excellent.
