What lens would you add to this kit

Current kit
15mm fisheye
50mm f1.4
24-70 f2.8
70-200f2.8 is ii
300f2.8

I've got about $1500 to spend and a buyer for my 24-70 ($700)

Is there a must have lens that I'm missing, I've been thinking about either selling the 24-70 and getting a mkii or adding either a 100L macro or 135f2

Yes, based on what you like to shoot most, there absolutely is a "must have" lens that you are missing .... the 100-400mm v2.

After looking at your gallery photos here, and then checking out your website and seeing the photos that you have posted there, I think that the new 100-400mm would be a perfect fit for that kind of sports action photography.

In fact, I think that if you got this lens, it may quickly become your most-used lens.

I would want a 1.4x extender to go along with the 300 f2.8 myself.

The 100 f2.8L macro is a great lens and does many jobs well, but I would not use it for sports. It is not the fastest focusing lens. The 135 f2.0L is a much better sports lens and great for portraits and headshots if you have the room. I looked at your gallery and did not see any shots such as at the goal on a basketball court but I see you use a 50 f1.4 for sports. In my opinion an 85mm either the new f1.4 or the old f1.8 would also be a good lens to fill out your kit.

I actually wouldn't mind trying the new 100-400, I had the old one several years back but at the time my best body was a 500d, I hadn't even thought of going down that path

Hey thanks for the feedback, Basketball is something I'd love to cover but we don't have a professional league in my city (I'm in New Zealand), all the teams play in casual wear and the skill level is . . . poor.
I could actually get a 135 and an 85f1.8 used with a bit of shopping around, the only reason I put the 100l on the list is because I enjoy macro photography also and I thought I could maybe kill 2birds with 1stone, speaking of birds, the 1.4x would be good for a bit of birding too

i'd definitely try to pick up the 100-400 IS II somewhere, if at all possible. It's an amazing lens!
