20" C-Stands

Does anyone own any?

I see them listed but don't see any videos or reviews on them. is the post 20" without legs? How tall do they go?

I've looked at c stands and like them a lot, but the 40" ones are just too big for me to pack around.

I don't own any but find them extremely useful when I need them. You wouldn't typically use them as a light stand for key light - they're for typically for a low angle fill, or to hold a low angle reflector, or a leg light, or for tabletop holding nets/flags/reflectors close to the table surface.

I bought 4 small c-stands for a very specific use and they worked great. Without knowing your intended use, or the stands you are talking about, it's impossible to comment.

I have some cheap 6' stands I use now when do events. I want to replace those with something more sturdy and durable.

I have one light that needs to go tall, but for kickers I think about 4' high is about all I need. I'm wondering if the 20" c stands would do the trick.

You can buy kupo 3-way clamp and then use them on your regular c-stands to put lights lowere than the min height of the 40" C-stand.

So again, I don't know what stand you are talking about. I have used 3 different sized c stands, two of them were about 20".

C stands without a turtle base are a pain to transport, the size of the riser is not a huge game changer.

Matthews reversing stands are my go-to for easy transport and are pretty sturdy at the heights you mention.
