Baseball wise, this one just throws my mind for a little bit of a loop... trying to imagine how everyone in the frame got to be in that spot... Clearly the guy on JU just scored (head first slide at home, judging from the dirt) and is pumped. Check. Clearly the shot is near the plate, given the ump in the pic. Jives with just scoring. He is getting congratulated by a teammate after scoring. Check, all logical. .... Teammate in full catchers gear. Wait, what? LOL JU just scoring means they are on offense. I would expect any catcher in the frame to be the opposing team's catcher given how close to home they appear to be. I would also expect that any JU player in the frame would be have a batting helmet on. I would also expect that the JU catcher wouldn't be in full gear (not on the field) and would be in the dugout about 5 seconds before this pic happened. Obviously, he ran out from the dugout, but still. HEH. Well Craig, "You got some splaining to do". The dust is still settling and the catcher is the first one out of the dugout? Catchers are never the first ones out, unless it's a fight... lol! And his mask is on and flipped up, I've known a lot of catchers that won't take their gear off until the last minute, like a triple play is more likely than them getting to the plate - but I don't recall any wearing their mask flipped up in the dugout... lol! I'm going to guess - maybe one of these new extra inning rules games, starting with 2 outs and runners on 2nd? Not a walk off, because the other team gets an at bat? The catcher is going to be right back out there, so he's ready? I'm Bill...

CHillyDoggy Goldmember More info | Ha Ha, I didn't even notice honestly. I had just gotten there to shoot the game after this one and caught an exciting finish to this game. JU scored like 6 runs in the top of the 9th to take an 8-6 lead, I believe it was... and then lost in the bottom of the 9th. Two of the countries best closers, I'm told, both giving up big innings. The expressions people make when doing something strenuous like throwing a baseball are very funny to me.
