They're nice!! Clean too - is that from PP or what the M50 can do at that ISO?

Some work is needed at ISO at 6400, but below that, files are pretty clean. I always run a mild cleanup action on all files in bulk however since I don't have time to work on individual files per each game due to number of images taken.

I believe all of these (or almost all) are under 6400 however, so they were pretty clean to start with. The M50 is a bit noisier than the 80D that supposedly donated it sensor to the M series though, or my copy is a bit noisier than others.

Understood, and interesting info, too, thank you. I wonder if the pixel count is different between the D80 and the M50 - would that account for the difference in noise?

I am not sure, but when I first got the camera and looked at its performance, I think I had seen that noise performance is slightly under that of other similar sensor'd cameras. I could be wrong however. I didn't do a back to back compare with the SL2 unfortunately.

I took mine out today too, with the Canon 24-70 f/4. The weather was awful but the rivers were in spate.

Beautiful photos.
Love the second.
So much action in the water, and the colours all make for attractive photos.

Curious what the 'structure', two props and a cross arm, is.
Had to look that phrase up.

Thanks, Richard.
I have no idea what the 'structure' is either. It may very well be the remnants of a bridge or method of getting across the river - there's a new bridge just up from it. Look like somewhere to tie up one's hoss! Also, the river is extremely high so its use may be more obvious in normal times.

Great pics. Such a small and nice camera. Instead of getting M50, I got 6D2 during holiday season sale. 6D2 with kit lens is pretty big in size compared to M50 setup. I am going to keep a tab on price and get one of these in future.

Received the Viltrox .71x Speedbooster today for my M50. Of course Amazon man arrived well after dark so can only play with it in the house for now.

Seems well built, clicks in place good and lens mounted fine. Gave it a try with my Tamron 35mm and 85mm 1.8 primes and looks promising for getting great depth of field with the M50 and reducing the crop factor on focal length and depth of field.

35mm lens reports as 24mm (38mm effective vs 56mm) and the 85mm as 60mm (96mm effective vs 136mm). Wide open aperture reports as 1.2 on both and seems to reduce the MFD on the 85mm a little as well.

Looking forward to working with it on the flower shots to make my wife happy..

First shot (was taken at f/1.8 reported, wasn't wide open) -

And an SOOC jpg wide open showing exif reporting f/1.2

I really enjoy the booster, it adds a new dimension to the M50.
