I’m curious as well if pairing a Viltrox speed booster with something like a Rokinon 14 (EF mount) would yield any benefits, or image degradation. I’m guessing that although a Sigma 18-35 will mount to the speed booster, there are no benefits as it’s an aps-c lens? I may be a little crazy, but kicking around the idea of moving to this as my 2nd body in lieu of my current 6D2. After hauling around crop and FF gear for air shows and hikes (I regretted hiking with 2 bodies and 4 lenses for an Astro outing in Arches NP), and a couple of other reasons, I’m considering simplifying things a bit. I was wondering the same thing about astro but I think it's too limited. There's no way to attach an intervalometer to it for one thing but it might be OK for some wide-angle single images of, say, the Northern Lights, or even the Milky Way. I'll be interested to read the responses.

Have any of you done any unofficial comparison to other crop sensor cameras to look at noise handling? I see a lot of higher ISO, and some really high, images in this thread that are very impressive. I looked through the last 2 years of my Lightroom catalog, and found that 98% of my meaningful captures were at or under ISO 3200, and I am predominantly shooting with the 7D2. I've been spending probably to much time researching this camera, looking at noise comparison charts, considering this to be a potential crop sensor companion to my 7D2, and welcome input and experience by actual users. Jan 03, 2020 23:49 | #597 I got M50 to try out mirrorless. Regarding adapter, do we have option to get with or without tripod mount. M50 should have its own tripod mount right? Why do we need another mount with adapter? Canon 6D Mark 2, 50mm STM

Thanks for the information. i need to buy adapter with tripod mount and use this to mount on tripod instead of using tripod mount on camera with EF lenses? Canon 6D Mark 2, 50mm STM
