100-400 with 2x and with AF, nice... I thought I would show a crummy example but it gets the idea across.

View at 50mm to see the scene, then 800mm (1280mm 35mm equiv) with a 100% crop. This is one big reason I like Canon mirrorless.

This same 1280mm FF equiv fills the frame 15% with the moon this way, enough to crop and still have enough for a largish print.

This is the entire frame with this combination for those that like taking moon shots. The moon is pretty prevalent in the frame.

I cannot wait for the M50 II, I hope it has the M6II sensor.

Fantastic.
AF may suck though (it is expected anyways).

I can think of investing in a 2x TC now..

AF is a bit slow with 2x, but workable. Not going to track birds in flight that is sure.

The M50 is a great, versatile little camera,I have no interest in the new full frame cameras (I already have the an R) but the rumoured M7 or M50 mk2 certainly have my attention.

I agree about the M50. It's a lot of fun and been much more versatile than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I do have interest in the new full frame R's, but I'm also really going to be curious what the potential APS-C bodies will be all about. It led me to ultimately cancel my R6 pre-orders. I'm going to sit back and see how this all plays out.

EF-M 55-200mm is pretty decent when stopped down.
Wide open should be avoided.
After this I changed my mind to sell that lens off.

Some high ISO testing. 1600, 3200 and 6400 respectively.
(For the first two the background was too sunny)

I want to buy additional battery for the M-50.
What is everyone using? OEM or third party?
If third party, which is better?
I am okay with using OEM if no quality third party batteries available.
I looked at Watson and Wasabi. The reviews are always mixed.
Hence I am asking the trusted flock here instead.

I use Powerextra and like the dual charger as well. I also have a large solar panel I can hook this charger into and charge while on the road.

They work just as well as the factory ones.

Can you please also share which solar panel you sue?

I use the foldup Rav Power ones, something akin to this.

https://www.amazon.com …up&qid=1598529138&sr=8-20 (external link)

When we are out and about, I will unfold this and lay it out on the vehicle windshield powering the charger with batteries in it, with the batteries/charger under one of the folds to keep it out of the sunlight.

If hiking, one can strap this to the backpack as well, there are usually loops, etc you can attach with carbiners.

Thanks. I will take a look at Powerextra.

Fantastic moon. You inspired me to do that, may be tonight.
