Fuji X-T1 Grip or no grip?

What is your experience? With a non battery.

I have the large Fuji grip and really like it. It really does not add much bulk. The thumb grip I found useless, as I use my camera for a lot of family functions that I need a flash, so sliding that thing in and out was a pain.

Is there much difference between the large and small?

I'm staying no-grip. Part of the draw to the system is size for me.

The large defiantly give you a nice, noticeable grip, since the xt1 has a little weight to it, feel good to me, the smaller one is about the same size I had on my x100t...I guess depends on hand size also. I really does not add much with or depth, more front loaded, and to me gives it more of a small dslr feel

I still own my XT-1, but use the Fuji XT-2. I have the Battery Grip for both. I prefer the lighter weight, but when I am going to be out for the whole day I use the grip for the batteries. With the grip I can usually go all day without any issues.

Also if I am going to be shooting handheld I use the grip as the added shutter button and other buttons allow for MUCH easier vertical shots. This has actually changed the way I shoot, I get a lot more vertical shots this way.

No grip for me, however I do leave a full width arca plate on the bottom. One of the cheap L brackets with the side piece removed.
