That's interesting. I guess it depends on how tanned the person but I know when my girlfriend took photos of me with the A7III the colors looked accurate to me?

It will be interesting if I notice a difference when I finally start using native lenses.

Different angle, landscapes. The fine details I get from the A7R2 with lenses like the Batis 25 and the Loxia 21 have surpassed anything I ever achieved using Canon DSLR cameras and their lenses. The fine details in trees when printed large just jumps out where with my Canon system they just appeared smeared.

Maybe that's Canon's "paintery effect" coming to the forefront, but it sure destroys the fie details in landscapes.

Don't even get me started on the Fuji smearing of details and their over baked colours.

I don't typically shoot portraits so I have no first hand experience with Sony skin tones, but I do shoot on location travel images with people in them and I have not had any issues with achieving good skin colours from many different ethnic people.

Daniel, I’m pretty sure ibis does work with mc11. Only time I think it doesn’t is when the adapted lens has built in IS

That makes sense and every EF lens I own has IS so I wouldn't get to see it work without that haha

With native lenses that have IS like the batis 85 for example, the camera uses a combination of ibis and IS but with adapted lenses with IS the ibis is disabled unless you use a cheaper adapter like the viltrox II.

Yes I remember reading about the dual IS that some lenses offer. I am picking up my Sony 85mm f/1.8 tomorrow so I will get to test the IBIS properly :D

I just ordered the fe 85 1.8 but had no clue that the Batis has OS.

Now I want the Batis lol

It has OSS and weather sealing. It lacks the focus button on the barrel though.

Here's a test image of sorts. This is taken with the Canon 35mm f/2 IS via MC-11 adapter. I'm actually quite amazed at how accurate Eye AF is even with adapted lenses. I would say this lens performs even better on the A7III as well!

Two days in with the A7III. I kinda like it. I'm using a 50mm f/1.2, 24-70mm f/2.8 and 70-200 f/2.8 with it. AF is good, but with the 70-200 I notice it hunting a little more. Not quite up to par with my old 5D4 in terms of speed, but acceptable.

I'm quickly coming to the realization, however, that I probably shouldn't subject this camera to any environments where it could be subject to abuse. I shoot concerts from time to time, and while I'd love to take it to one, I doubt it'd survive (seeing as I mostly shoot rap concerts and they like to throw water everywhere).

I think I'm lucky, my 35mm and 16-35mm work great with the MC-11 and are pretty much as fast as native.

Maybe keep the 5D4 for concerts with the 70-200 and use the Sony for the rest with the remaining lenses? I plan to keep all my Canon lenses and get the FF Canon Mirrorless once it's out and have a separate Sony kit.

I tried the MC-11 again yesterday and ended up going back to the metabones, I must be doing something wrong

I think it's really dependent on the lenses. I got mine more for my lenses I mostly use MF for. If I wanted it more for AF I probably would have gone for Metabones but I'm lucky the Sigma works well with my 35mm.

I've trekked through North Vietnam for 3 days in pouring rain with an A7R and 16-35 zoom. Took many images but kept the outfit under a poncho when not in use. Camera got soaked, had to keep wiping it down as it was slippery. No issues.

I think you'll be just fine at your concerts. Don't always believe the net echo chambers from people that never shot with Sony.

The metabones refused to work well for me on any canon glass. Updated firmware and all. So who knows.

MC-11 acts like native. Love it.
