Well, what the hell. China owns most everything else.

Intellectual property theft in America amounts to about $600 billion and China is responsible for most of that (source: New York Times).

So what does this mean for you, the photographer? Well, it means the images you already have on 500px or upload to 500px might very well end up on a t-shirt produced by a chinese company and you won't get spit for it. So what else is new?

If you submit to their market place yes. The normal pool isn't high resolution. At least it doesn't have to be.
