Sorry for late response. This is the only photo I clicked. Since it came on our way to our destination, I had to ask our bus driver to stop for the moment to capture. He agreed but asked me to speed up so as not to come in way of traffic.

True. But at Gangotri, it is named Bhagirathi. At Devprayag, bhagirathi and alaknanda merge into one river and takes name of Ganga.
